Overall health
As well as contributing to your overall health, moderate exercise is beneficial and appropriate for breastfeeding mums.

Feed before exercising

It may be best to feed before you start exercising. This helps to settle your baby and makes the workout more comfortable for you. Drink some extra water before and during your workout and wear a well-fitting bra to reduce nipple friction.

Just listen to your body

If you routinely worked out before you were pregnant, gradually develop back to your old regime. Your primary goal should be to feel better, not to rush back to pre-pregnancy weight. If it doesn’t feel good when you are exercising, stop. Just listen to your body. Before you begin a workout program, check with your regular doctor or healthcare professional.

Healthy and save work out

Walking is the recommended exercise during the early recovery stage, but speed walking or jogging are perfectly safe once your doctor approves. You can start with just 20 to 30 minutes of walking and work up to about an hour. You can also consider yoga or pilates as an alternative form of exercise.
