Riboflavin (also known as vitamin B2) is a water-soluble vitamin that is part of the vitamin B complex. Riboflavin is yellow or orange in colour and is also used as a natural food colouring. Riboflavin is processed directly by the body, which means it is not stored. If there is excess riboflavin in the diet, it is excreted in the urine and colours the urine bright yellow a few hours after ingestion.
